Table 1 for the children's menu for the week. Bread and bread products

Chronic gastritis, or as they are also called, gastric catarrhs, can develop from a variety of reasons, and primarily due to a violation of the diet:

  • eating too much food
  • dry food,
  • abuse of hot spices,
  • very hot food.

These reasons should be added to the abuse of alcoholic beverages.

Harmful working conditions (for example, work in hot shops), as well as non-observance of personal hygiene rules, are of some importance. Gastritis is distinguished with preserved or increased secretion of gastric juice and with insufficient acidity or the absence of free hydrochloric acid in the stomach.

For gastritis with preserved or increased secretion, it is prescribed diet 1, which is commonly called in Soviet medicine, diet 1, and for gastritis with insufficient acidity or with the absence of free hydrochloric acid in the stomach and the presence of painful phenomena -.

Characteristics of diet 1

Diet 1 - sparing; its goal is to limit the diet of foods that cause mechanical and chemical irritation of the gastric mucosa. The patient should not feel hungry, however, his food at one time should not be too plentiful.

Nutritionist advice. With increased acidity, protein and fat products have especially good antacid properties. Fats inhibit gastric secretion, especially taken on an empty stomach, and contribute to the slow evacuation of food from the stomach cavity. In this case, fats must be of natural origin and not subjected to heat treatment.

With an exacerbation of peptic ulcer, it should be recommended to add cream to tea, coffee, mashed potatoes, cereals. Good antacid properties are egg scrambled eggs, oat milk jelly, decoction of flax seeds with the addition of cream or milk. You can recommend the use of sea buckthorn oil, rose hips, fish oil, granulated lecithin. The use of these fats should be within the limits of fat requirements. They must be of high quality.

With reduced gastric secretion, it is recommended to drink dishes with a small amount of diluted lemon juice while eating, and when cooking, use greens and herbs. The diet of patients includes dishes from foods rich in vitamins A, E and iron - dishes from chicken, calf liver, cod liver, caviar, chicken and quail eggs. As well as fruits and vegetables rich in carotenoids and vitamin E:

  • sea buckthorn fruits, pumpkin, red carrot, spinach, wild garlic;
  • sorrel, lettuce, parsley root and greens, red and green bell peppers;
